Sugar Maple Welcomes Amorphic Beer : We Love Nerds

Join us in welcoming Ron Hockersmith, Founder and Director of Beer at Amorphic Beer, located at 3700 N. Fratney Street, in Riverwest.

Amorphic Beer is a partnership between Hockersmith, Alan Willhite, and Joe Broeckert, all with engineering backgrounds. They opened their taproom in December and have since created 22 different beers! They have also kicked off sensory panels, hired a taproom team, and have learned way too much about the survivability of linalool and gerinol in the finished beer. They recently hosted a three-day Pi-Days Celebration, which featured pies, bands, engineering challenges, and an astrophysics presentation.

IPA brewed w/ “Cosmic Punch” thiol boosting yeast and mash hopped w/Citra, Mosaic and El Dorado

West Coast IPA w/Chinook, Amarillo and Simcoe hops.

Hypothetical Terrior 9.5%
Hazy IPA w/ Nelson Sauvin, Hallertau Blanc, Sauvignon grape must, and beer and wine yeast.
