Rise Up Community Sing at the Sugar Maple

Raise your vibration! Improve your Health! Come experience the joy of singing with others. No experience is necessary.

Song leader Megan Eberhardt will lead us through the songs, which are short, fun, easy to learn on the spot, and will be taught in oral tradition at The Sugar Maple, 441 E Lincoln Avenue on Sunday, October 23rd, 2022, at 4:00 p.m.

Come experience the joy of singing with others! And come into a deeper connection with your body, your voice, and your community. Singing is so absolutely human, and one might say essential for these times we find ourselves in.

“Community singing is a multilayer healing phenomenon,” shared song leader Megan Eberhardt, “it has so many health and healing benefits which at the root are the sense of belonging and aliveness we cultivate as we sing together. All cultures throughout time have singing as an important part of their daily life as well in their ceremonies and celebrations.”

Community singing is as sweet and simple as singing together. Most people experience it as healing, joyful, and enlivening. Community singing is not performance or solos. No experience is necessary and everyone is welcome and families are encouraged.

“This is the best hour of my month,” shared attendee Jodi Delfosse, “it provides respite from the world, and is filled with fellowship and joy.” She added “You do not have to be an experienced singer – everyone’s contribution is celebrated. If you need a pick-me-up, sign up and come sing with us!”

UPCOMING SINGS
Sunday, November 27th • No December Sing • Sunday, January 22nd
