Brown, Black & Brews: The 5th Ingredient

Join us in celebrating local Brown and Black breweries from Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin.

Representatives from Brewer’s Kitchen, Funkytown Brewery, Azadi Brewing and Moors Brewing Company, Illinois, 18th Street Brewing, Indiana, and Soul Brew Kombucha, Wisconsin, will be present to pour samples and share their stories.

The 5th ingredient, being culture, is the conception of Tarik Moody, Program Director of HYFIN, from Radio Milwaukee.
His love of beer, culture, and food, inspired him to seek out local craft Brown and Black Breweries. Even though People’s Brewery, America’s first Black-owned brewery originated in Wisconsin, there is little representation in our state. Tarik’s motive is to showcase Brown and Black owned breweries, in the hopes of inspiring and supporting a new generation of brewers.

Art and music will be provided by True Skool.
There will be a $10 charge, and a link will be provided soon. The proceeds will benefit True Skool.
True Skool, Inc. has provided services and programs since 2004.
